This year, my good friend and wedding coordinator Karen Casey finally convinced me to participate in the Allie Awards – which honor and promote excellence in event design, planning and production. For the Allie Award gala, I had just the event I needed from the year before at Atlanta’s St. Regis…the Paul Freeman Birthday Spectacular!
Special event planner and designer extraordinaire, Helene Popowski, called me and said, “Mike, I need to know if you’re available to shoot a birthday party?” I may have sounded less enthusiastic than usual because Helene then indicated she didn’t ordinarily plan birthday parties…adding that this one was to be very special. Was she ever right!
Helene, and Harrison at the St. Regis, really made this such a fantastic event that I had to choose it for the Allie Awards. Check out these images…the people, the colors, the spirit at the St. Regis. What an event!
