Moreland Photography strives to customize all our shoots to each client’s specific needs and desire.  A great example of that is Skylar’s Sailor Moon Cosplay Maternity themed session.  If you missed it, check it out here! To go from Sailor Moon to the romantic fairy-tale maternity session was exciting for us and such a novel experience.

We all brainstormed on how to make this second shoot original to her with the garden theme, but Skylar really brought her A-game arriving to the historical home in a bright, cheerful yellow maternity dress, super adorable kicks with flowers actually on them and a beautiful bouquet of flowers to complement the garden theme.  When we saw her and Steve, we knew this was going to be a super fun afternoon!   We even got lucky with the weather in Hotlanta!  Beautiful skies, lush gardens and blooming flowers surrounded the property.  Skylar later changed into one of our custom maternity gowns she chose to wear.   She was Pretty in Pink!   One of the added benefits in scheduling a maternity shoot with us is that we have a collection of designer maternity gowns in a variety of styles that my clients can choose from, if they don’t have one themselves.

Steve and Skylar were so much fun to work with.  We were very happy when Skylar let us know that her husband was going to be joining us.  Their easy-going spirit kept everyone smiling.  Steve even got silly and added flowers to his hair at one point!  As we wrapped up our shoot at the historical home, we got ready to move on to a wonderful waterfall nearby.   At the new location,  Skylar made her third and quick wardrobe change into a gorgeous flowing white gown with an ultra-long train.  At the water’s edge, I set up my external light system and Skylar dipped her feet into the riverbed.  The images created had a special ethereal feel to them.  As the sun began to set, Steve and Skylar captured several beautiful Fairy-tale Maternity images together, celebrating the joy of the upcoming birth of their child.
