We were thrilled to capture Abbey Cage’s Horse Senior Photography shoot! During Abbey’s consultation, we learned that she wanted artistic nature shots and pictures with her horse, Pace. We decided to jump right in and start at the Roswell Mill.
The Roswell Mill is a historic civil war site that families can go to to enjoy the trails and picturesque scenery. This location matched completely with her desires for serene nature shots. We walked down to the infamous waterfall and took breathtaking pictures of Abbey in and around the water. After shooting at The Roswell Mill, we then traveled to the large field that Abbey’s horse calls home.
Almost immediately it started raining, so we took the show inside and captured some dramatic profile shots. Once the sun started started pushing it’s way through the dark clouds, we ventured around the scenic property. It had rained so hard there were areas that were almost completely flooded! We traipsed through the grassy field (that now resembled a marsh) to take pictures of Abbey and Pace.
One thing we can tell you about Abbey is that she really does love her horse. Pace is a thoroughbred that used to compete alongside Abbey. She began to feel sorry for him because of the strenuous exercises and conditioning that competition horses have to go through. Pace promptly became a pet horse that has a lot of grassy acreage to graze and romp through. We took advantage of these grassy areas and captured some majestic moments of Abbey and her four-legged friend.
Abbey and Pace were a joy to work with during this Horse Senior Photography shoot. We loved photographing her and hope she has an amazing rest of her senior year!
