I was so excited to work with this wonderful and creative family again.  A few years ago I photographed Hayden’s sister, Morgan, where the goal was to create book telling a story about her passion for ballet. After returning from a summer camp, Hayden’s mother reached out to me in a panic! In her eyes he was turning into a man overnight, and she never did a photo shoot on him like was done his sister Morgan.  So we set up this shoot right away to capture his personality doing what he loves! Harry Potter was to play a significant role as well as music, hiking, and traveling. He is also on the crew team.  Our goal was to create a book for Hayden with images and inspirational text. Hayden also loves to read, especially about Harry Potter! We had him pose and helped create the magic afterwards to make him look like a wizard himself! We had tons of fun preparing and shooting this particular image!

We were able to create images that reflected Hayden’s curiosity and sense of adventure! We hiked and moved around to show off his personality like him in the middle of the river on a huge rock-thus demonstrating his adventurous side!

We also had him walk down the bridge to capture some moody shots, perfect for any thirteen year old.

Hayden and his whole family are very creative so we did not want to set up poised images but images of Hayden being Hayden.

And, of course, we wanted to capture an image of him reading one of his favorite Harry Potter books.
