It was truly a pleasure photographing the Valerio family for their artistic black and white maternity shoot. After their consultation, it was clear that the Valerio family desired unique maternity pictures that would stand the test of time. To keep with the elegant black and white theme of their home, they desired a couple of silhouettes to use as fine art and display around their home. These maternity pictures are very unique due to the fact that they were all shot with studio lighting in order to achieve that artistic and timeless black and white silhouette.

This highly artistic shoot took place in several stages inside of their home. Mr. and Mrs. Valerio are on their second child, so naturally they decided to start off with a couple of different relationship shots. They dressed in simple clothing, with Mrs. Valerio adorned in a form fitting dress to really showcase her maternity. We photographed a plethora of moments between Mrs. Valerio and her son, Mr. and Mrs. Valerio, and the expanding family all together. Their son can be seen kissing his mother’s belly in a sweet moment, creating a truly beautiful and symbolic silhouette.

The second part of this fine art shoot was all about Mrs. Valerio and her new child. In keeping with the black and white theme, she decided it would be best to capture her maternity while in the nude. For the first scene, we surrounded her in a blanket of white rose petals. Mrs. Valerio modeled in a series of elegant poses that showcased her maternity beautifully. Next, we photographed Mrs. Valerio in front of a black background and a white background. By caressing her stomach in the dramatic lighting you could truly see the love that she has for her unborn child. We wish Mr. and Mrs. Valerio the absolute best on this new journey and truly enjoyed photographing this artistic black and white shoot!
