Fitzpatrick incorporated everything from a milk bath photo shoot to indoor and outdoor locations to an underwater experience, and the images were nothing less than magnificent. She enjoyed this shoot so much that she came back to us for her newborn shoot , so after you’re done here make sure to head over to see the newborn! Fitzpatrick’s goal was to get a lot of lifestyle shots, with a touch of glamour. Well, what better way to capture someone’s lifestyle than at their home? So, we traveled to their house and set the studio up while she finished getting ready for the fun filled shoot ahead.
For a lifestyle shoot you have to incorporate the family! We had mom, dad, sister, and dog all featured in this part of the shoot.
For the following shots we incorporated the architecture of their home, which turned out to be perfect! An insider tip is that we usually use a black background, like a black sheet, to shoot these types of images. However, they had black hardwood floors that served this purpose perfectly. We adorned her and the surrounding area in white rose petals, and the images turned out truly beautiful.
Next, we moved outside where Fitzpatrick had on two of over 15 of our maternity dresses. Although it may look like the wind was blowing at just the right moment, our assistants helped us out with this shot so that the dress could flow behind her.
We prepared a milk bath photo shoot for Fitzpatrick, cutting greenery from their yard and placing it inside of the bath! These were some of Fitzpatrick’s favorite images, and for good reason.
Lastly, we ended with an underwater shoot! Now, neither wife nor husband knew how to swim, so how did we get this done? We only went in at about 5 feet of water, and had our underwater assistant, Michael Newman, help them get comfortable. Therefore, whenever they stood up, they’d be out of the water. We had fun coming up with creative ways to make this look like the deep end.
